Mary Jo Kochendorfer, Senior Technical Program Manager, Proven Software and Technology

Mary Jo has over 10 years of experience in addressing challenges across the global development sector from building open source software, implementing mobile and web based health solutions to measuring social impact. She combines a strategic outlook focused on social impact and outcomes with hands on ICT4D implementation experience, enabling her to understand the practical implications of scaling, investing and implementing ICT products and programs.

Prior to DIAL, Mary Jo draws upon a depth of experience in delivering open source solutions for the T4D space.  From her role as a Senior Manager at VillageReach, serving as the Product Owner for OpenLMIS, to Program Manager for MOTECH at Grameen Foundation. OpenLMIS is a powerful, open source, cloud-based electronic logistics management information system (LMIS) purpose-built to manage health commodity supply chains. MOTECH is an open-source platform used to cultivate demand for health services through behavior change communications. In addition to mobile health, she managed a team that built and implemented a poverty measurement tool, PPI, with microfinance organizations looking to manage their social performance and impact on poverty. Mary Jo has worked and lived in multiple countries in Latin America, Asia and Sub Saharan Africa.

Mary Jo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business in International Business and Marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and completed a Business and Environmental Sustainability seminar at INCAE: Graduate School of Business.
