The Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL) Hosts “Practicing the Principles for Digital Development” Event in Tanzania

On Thursday, October 12, the Digital Impact Alliance, along with partners, will host the first event in a three-part series highlighting how development organizations can put the Principles for Digital Development into practice. The full day event will be held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and includes a mix of educational keynotes, lightning talks, and interactive group sessions to learn how the Principles can best help individual implanters and organizations. Partners for the event include the Human Development Innovation Fund (HDIF), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), IREX and PATH.

The Principles for Digital Development are designed to help digital development practitioners integrate established best practices into technology-enabled programs while incorporating feedback and new insights over time. They continue to be a community-driven global good, meant to advance the role of digital technology in development and to advance technology-enabled programs that can help end global poverty more quickly. The Principles are currently endorsed by 81 organizations, including USAID, UNICEF, NDI, Grameen Foundation, IntraHealth International, SIDA, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and many more.
