Maryester has provided expertise in curriculum and instructional design and facilitation and program management to clients in more than 20 countries worldwide across five continents. She joined DIAL in February 2019 as the Training and Engagement Lead on the Insights and Impact team. In this capacity she co-leads the development of learning experiences to support the Principles of Digital Development, and assists with DIAL’s distribution strategy of its learning products.
Prior to joining DIAL, Maryester developed and delivered face-to-face and blended learning experiences to various UN organizations, government agencies and international NGOs. In 2011 she served on a one-year mission to Afghanistan with UNESCO collaborating with the Afghan ministries of interior and education and the NATO-Training Mission in Afghanistan to improve the quality of police literacy education and out-of-school youth skills development programming.
Maryester holds a B.Ed and M.Ed from the University of Ottawa, Canada and a post-graduate Certificate in Evaluation in Conflict Settings from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland.
