Daniel is committed to improving the results of social impact organizations by designing and managing systems that increase stakeholder trust. Before joining DIAL in June 2016, he advised the United Nations Environment Programme in designing global campaigns to reduce marine litter and trade in illegal wildlife
Previously, Daniel was Senior Director of Global Programs at Rare, an international conversation NGO. His role integrated program development, performance management and impact reporting processes. He has published on the role of performance management in improving NGO effectiveness and the role of marketing in promoting behavioral change, and has co-led the work of the Conservation Measures Partnership in integrating human wellbeing into conservation projects. He has also conducted strategy and operations consulting with the firms MarketBridge, Oliver Wyman and the Corporate Executive Board.
Daniel earned his A.B. cum laude from Hamilton College in history and economics and his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also serves on the board of the Washington Literacy Center.
