Chief Executive Officer, Digicel Haiti

Selorm is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Digicel Haiti. Selorm is a seasoned Telecoms and Financial Services business leader with over 18 years of experience with a reputation for his strong leadership, analytical rigor and business transformation skills.

Andrew Axelrod

Chief Strategy Officer, United Nations Foundation

Andrew Axelrod serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at the UN Foundation, where he leads the Foundation’s strategic planning, project management, and monitoring and evaluation functions. Prior to working at the UN Foundation, Andrew served as Senior Director of Strategic Planning at K12 Inc, where he was responsible for developing a strategic plan for the company’s higher education business and then managing the newly formed entity.

Christopher Burns 

Director, Center for Digital Development

Christopher Burns is the Director of the Center for Digital Development within USAID’s Global Development Lab. In this role, he leads technical teams focused on Digital Finance, Development Informatics, Digital Inclusion and advanced data and geospatial analysis, and the role they play in driving an inclusive digital economy. He previously served as Senior Coordinator, Digital Development for Feed the Future, working alongside the Bureau for Food Security, to integrate a suite of digital technologies into the U.S. Government’s Feed the Future Initiative.

Sabyasachi Das

Managing Director, NetLeap

Sabyasachi Das is the Managing Director at TC NetLeap Private Limited, a company that enables villagers in India to become digitally active so that internet usage brings them tangible benefits across the areas of income generation, education, health and skills training. Sabyasachi has spent 13+ years working at the cross-section of ICT in urban slums and rural India, school education, skills training and income generation focused on program design and large scale implementation at the grassroots level. He has also worked for three years in the media and entertainment industry.


Seema Desai

Head of Product, Zopa

Seema is Head of Strategic Partnerships at Zopa – the world’s first peer-to-peer lender and the largest in Europe. Prior to joining Zopa, Seema was Head of Mobile Money at GSMA, the global trade association for the mobile industry, where she worked with mobile network operators in emerging markets to meet the financial needs of underserved customers by delivering innovative and sustainable services via the mobile channel.

Cees Hesp

Director mHealth Research Labs, PharmAccess Foundation

Cees Hesp is Director of the mHealth Research Labs at PharmAccess, a Dutch not-for-profit organization that aims to improve access to quality healthcare in Sub-Saharan Africa. Cees has a professional background in IT and technical writing, with over 25 years of experience. He holds an M.A. in English Linguistics (Cum Laude) from the Free University of Amsterdam.

Steven Holmes

Vice President of the New Devices Group and General Manager of the Smart Device Innovation team, Intel Corporation

Steven Holmes is vice president of the New Devices Group and General Manager of the Smart Device Innovation team at Intel Corporation. Holmes and his team are chartered with developing products and technologies that will enhance and extend Intel’s product portfolio into new areas of computing, and to position the company to compete and lead new growth markets going forward.


Jens Karberg

Advisor and Program Manager, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency

For the past five years, Jens has worked as a Programme Manager Specialist at Sida for digital development with a focus on economic development for the vulnerable. Jens has more than 15 years of work experience in international development.


Hillary Miller-Wise

Chief Executive Officer, Esoko

Hillary Miller-Wise is CEO of Esoko, a pioneer in mobile agriculture. Prior to joining Esoko, she ran the Africa operations for Grameen Foundation, an innovator in mAgriculture, mHealth and digital financial services. She spent five years at TechnoServe running their Tanzania operations, where she developed partnerships with several mobile operators to design and deploy mAgriculture solutions.

Juliana Rotich

Consultant, Co-founder BRCK

Juliana Rotich is a consultant, technologist, strategic advisor, entrepreneur and keynote speaker. Juliana serves as an advisor to the councils of BASF, Risk Cooperative, Africa Technology Ventures (ATV) and the Lemelson Foundation. She is also a trustee of Bankinter Foundation for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Spain, board member of Digital Impact Alliance and the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board.
