Bio

Lee Sutton is DIAL’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Director. A systems thinker, she believes in the importance of MEL for project design, implementation and management, and learning. With a results-focused approach, Lee works to ensure DIAL captures results to build the evidence base for DIAL’s tools and approaches.

Lee has 20 years of MEL experience on humanitarian, stabilization, transition, and development projects, with a focus on conflict and post-conflict environments. She worked extensively in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. She previously worked for Center for Civilians in Conflict, MEASURE Evaluation, International Medical Corps, and Creative Associates. She also served in Americorps/City Year in Seattle. Ms. Sutton holds an MA in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA and a BA in International Political Economy from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.
